I’m really enjoying the power of Substack and the ability to write these Mystical Musings to really deep dive into spirituality.
For me, spirituality is the fuel to my tank, as I walk my human life. However, as I witness discussions in various spiritual platforms, I realize how complicated and often convoluted this path can be.
There’s a lot of information out there.
Therefore, I want to start to separate the strands here, so you can weave your own path of spiritual experience.
Over the last few weeks we’ve explored spiritually aware living, stepping aside from the chaos to build up your “observer” muscle, as well nervous system regulation and how that plays a part in your spiritual journey. Last week I then looked at spiritual connection and how that can truly fuel your life.
(Some of the articles may be archived now and only available for paid subscribers I’m afraid.)
This week, I want to discuss the why of it all.
What’s it all really about?
Are bad days really payback for past life mistakes? Is life a “school of hard knocks” where you need to learn how to be “good”?
Are you heading for a nirvana state when you finally getting it right and do you slip away to oblivion?
So… come to think of it… this may be a 2 part post!
Let’s start here though:
Whenever I read a near-death experience story (NDE) one element is always in common;
That when the person’s soul releases from their physical form, they feel a presence of deep love.
They also maintain an essence of themselves, in fact, they usually describe feeling larger than themselves, a clearer, expanded, free version of who they know as themselves.
I start here because when we know where we are going, we can get a sense of where we come from.
That clearer, expanded version of ourselves is out there. It is the basis of who we really are. It is your WHOLE self.
So, why do we come to this human life?
Oh…. juicy question.
What is the purpose… the real purpose of life?
Well, I’m not going to claim that I have the answer.
This is a question that has challenged the greatest minds since the dawn of time.
But here’s how I like to see it. (And it’s backed up by many philosophers and modern day mystics.)
I believe each of us is a whirlpool of energy in a giant sea of infinite.
That whirlpool is part of something so much larger than itself.
It is part of Source energy, part of the Universe… part of God. It is positive energy.
It is LOVE.
That whirlpool, your spirit, has been around a long, long time, having experienced numerous lifetimes and experiences. But when it returns to the whirlpool state, it returns to LOVE.
Each experience changes not only the whirlpool, but the larger whole.
The universe is continually growing and expanding. Nothing is stagnant or stays still in the realm of spirit.
So, a whirlpool, your spirit, funnels down to occupy a human body.
The whirlpool is still part of the whole sea… but it is also pouring into a focus point. It is powering up life into your human experience.
So, to sum up: massive Universe (Source, God, All that is.) Has small whirlpools, that which you are, which then funnels down to fill a human experience. Good?
Now… my favorite part.
During your human experience, whether you tap into your spiritual element or not, you are observing things, trying things, making mistakes… really getting into the middle of it all. We have a lot of contrasts to the natural state of love from what we come from. We contract and then we expand. We learn… we grow.
I like to see the soul/human experience like a cup of tea.
Your soul (whirlpool energy) flows to your human body, like pure water. As it resides in your life experience, it picks up preferences and opinions, it gathers its own feeling, its own frequency from what it’s observing. It’s steeping in your life, no matter what that life is!
And just like tea, it can never return to the same flavor it started with. It is transformed.
Your frequency… your energy… your whirlpool.. that is eternal.
It will grow, but it is also unique to you.
Your life experience here on earth is the tea and you will change your soul, your whirlpool, your personal spiritual energy because of your life here.
Now, let’s troubleshoot any negative chatter:
Spiritual energy is POSITIVE energy.
If you are having a stressed day, an unfulfilled experience or a traumatic event, your spiritual self will observe the contrast to its positive nature, ( spirit is LOVE) and learn from what the opposite to the contrast would be.
It then acts like a lighthouse, to bring you out of the contrast.
If you have done things you regret, if you carry some energetic baggage, you aren’t contaminating your soul.
Your soul might want to shake it off with you, but at it’s core it’s still Love.
Hmmm… ok… I think that’s enough for today’s post.
Just know this:
You are here to grow, to learn and to expand. And with that expansion in your human life, you expand and grow your spiritual self, and with that spiritual self learning new things and exploring new terrains, God itself, the universe and all that is, also grows and changes.
As Abraham Hicks likes to say, you are on the leading edge of creation just by being alive.
Over the next few weeks I’m going to dive into more of this. We will be exploring more about how to connect to your spiritual self, how to know if you are in a state of “flow” as well as how this relates to angels, ghosts, and spiritual energy work.
However I don’t want to get too technical. Instead, let me offer you a way to truly tap into your spiritual, whirlpool self, so you can close the gap from the human you to the Whole you of who you really are:
A WHOLE PRACTICE:
Take a moment to kick your shoes off and find a comfortable place.
Close your eyes.
After a few deep breaths (regulating your nervous system) in your minds eye imagine a beautiful, radiate sun glowing above your head. The sun is warm and brillant and as it glows a golden elixir begins to flow from it. That liquid gold, like a golden stream flows from this sun, down to you.
It flows through the top of your head and as it does it nourishes every aspect of you, refueling your cells and replenishing your energy. It flows through your entire body and out your feet into the ground.
As it flows… repeat this to yourself:
The love of the universe flows like a golden river nourishing every one of my cells and aspect of me, so that every aspect of me resonates with the frequency of the love of the universe.
Let the light of that warm, brilliant sun, nourish you and radiate from you, so you may feel the wholeness of all yourself.
You are a divine being my friend.
It’s just that sometimes, like all of us, you forget your true nature, you experience contrast, which expands your true self, and then you find yourself again an expanded version of yourself.
Let it flow!
